Think Different, Capture the Best, and Win the Title

It is a short film/documentary making competition in which a group of students are required to make an entertainment or fiction based feature film or a documentary not exceeding duration of 15 minutes.
It has two categories:
a. Entertainment / Fiction
b. Documentary /Social Message
It must be noted that all the technical requirement of the film such as Direction, Lead Acting, Cinematography, Camera Work, Screen Play, Background Score, etc. must be fulfilled by the students only and no professional support should be sought. In case any professional support is taken, it shall lead to immediate disqualification from the event.

  • Your short film should not be longer than 15 minutes and not shorter than 3 minutes.
  • The entry must be the original work of the student(s).
  • The production team size should not exceed 15 and shall not be less than 5 including all actors and actresses (scenes where the crowd is involved is acceptable without being counted in the production team).
  • Limited use of copyrighted material will be permitted in the entry so long as it is a lawful or "fair" use with proper mention of the copyrighted material at the end of the video, and so long as such use does not overwhelm the contribution of the student(s).
  • Please make sure that your finished short film is under 1.5 GB in size and that it is in one of the following video formats: .AVI/ .MOV /.MPG/ .MPG2/ .MPEG2 /.MPEG4 /.MP4/ .WMV and bring it in HDD or PD only.
  • The host University reserves the right to use the photographs submitted for evaluation for any publication purpose of the University.

Group of two to four students, will be asked to create a marketing plan including creating a full-fledged creative campaign. Students have to present a conceptual ad of either a product or a service. Students will act out a TV/radio script/Visual Presentation to present ideas relevant on creating social awareness, etc.

  • There is no fixed theme for the ads, but any film bordering on vulgarity/racism will be disqualified.
  • Ads should be an authenticated work. Any deviation from this rule will lead to disqualification.
  • The duration of the ad should be not be more than 2 minutes.
  • The production team should not exceed more than 5.
  • Ad should be made minimum with "5 Megapixel camera".
  • Completed ads must be submitted before (date specified) in mpeg (MPG, MPEG4) or .avi formats only.
  • Even if you are good in designing, you can showcase your talent.as for the first time animated ads are also entertained.
  • Use of copyrighted material isn't allowed.

This competition will have three themes in which 5 photographs from each of the theme is to be submitted by the Participants.Theme will be shared on the day of the event to registered participants.

  • All Photos have to be clicked within MM(DU) and during the days of Fest only.
  • A Window of 5 hours will be given to submit the Photographs by google drive.
  • Each round shall be evaluated separately and the winner shall be decided on the cumulative score of all the rounds.
  • The entry must be the original work of the student.
  • Photographs must be in digital format.
  • No print or film submissions will be accepted for entry into this Contest.
  • All digital files must be in JPEG or .jpg format, and must be at least 1,600 pixels wide (if a horizontal image) or 1,600 pixels tall (if a vertical image).
  • No Watermark and editing is allowed except cropping.
  • Image processing is permitted. Manipulation should be avoided.
  • High dynamic range (HDR) images and stitched panoramas are NOT acceptable.
  • Any changes to the original photograph not itemized here are unacceptable and will render the photograph ineligible for a prize.
  • The photograph must not, in the sole and unfettered discretion of the sponsor, contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate content.
  • The host University reserves the right to use the photographs submitted for evaluation for any publication purpose of the University.
